For those of us living in Eastern NC, February must be the time of year that we are craving chocolate. Both Morehead City, NC and Wilmington, NC will be having their respective Chocolate Festival this weekend. Both Festivals begin on Feb 5, and last through Feb. 7, 2010.

The Carolina Chocolate Festival in Morehead City, NC will be held at the Crystal Coast Civic Center. The festival features chocolate specialties during two days of sampling and cooking. Also located around Morehead City, the Festival brings live entertainment and restaurant specials, all featuring chocolate. Wilmington Chocolate Festival

The Wilmington Chocolate Festival will begin Friday night with a Gala, and will again be the area's most fun Gala of the year. Featuring wonderful appetizers and heavy hors d'oeuvres; free Wine tastings, Artisan Beers, live music, and of course.."Unlimited Chocolates and Desserts", Saturday & Sunday there will be a business showcase of proprietors in the area who make or sell chocolates and other sweet treats. The Festival also includes "Spotlights" which are demonstrations by exhibitors of techniques involved in creating their Chocolate Delights! On February 5th 6th, & 7th 2010, New Hanover County's "Senior Center of Excellence" will again be bustling with activity as the 8th Annual Wilmington Chocolate Festival is presented.
